News: Support Us As You Shop and Work!

Combined Fund DriveThe years in which Classic Home Tours are held are always busy years, full of community energy and commitment to Ballard’s culture and history. This year was no exception, and many stepped up to plan, execute and support the Ballard Historical Society’s 2013 tour.

Now, we announce two new ways to support our efforts, and we hope you’ll include us in your charitable giving plans in 2014. Are you, a family or a friend an employee of an agency of the state of Washington? University of Washington and community colleges are examples of state agencies, for instance. Select Ballard Historical Society as a Combined Fund Drive recipient to have as little as $1 per pay period deducted from your pay. Simply click the link to begin. In 2012-2013, over 2,300 state employees felt good about giving through this tax-deductible workplace giving program.

We’re also pleased to announce that anyone can support BHS during the course of regular shopping on Amazon.com. Start at AmazonSmile, and select Ballard Historical Society after you log in to your account. Amazon donates 0.5% of your eligible AmazonSmile purchases. We’re excited about these easy ways for you to support our archives, lecture, and other programs. (And we’re always open to your suggestions for how to celebrate our unique neighborhood.) Please bookmark these links on the devices you use today: Combined Fund Drive and  AmazonSmile
