We enjoyed hearing the bell ring in Ballard on Saturday, February 12 to celebrate the birthday of Mrs. Bertha Davis, a former Webster School teacher and Ballard resident. We rang the bell again, just to be sure. Then we wandered over to the Ballard Landmark for celebratory cupcakes, visiting, and singing “Happy Birthday.” There were so many people! Just a testimony to Bertha’s personality and contribution to our community. Bertha was all smiles.
Thanks to everyone who attended, to the Bring the Ring Back to Ballard steering committee, and to the Ballard Landmark. The party served as a kickoff to our efforts to “Bring the Ring Back to Ballard.” If you’d like more information on how we’re bringing the ring back to the old Ballard City Hall bell, contact us!
